In 1903 Austrian confectioner Antoine Rumpelmeyer founded Angelina, named after his daughter-in-law.
For over a century, the tearoom located opposite the Tuileries gardens in Paris has established itself as a symbolic place to enjoy Parisian gourmet fare at its finest.
Since it first opened, Angelina has become the go-to venue for the Parisian aristocracy. Its tearooms have played host to the likes of Proust, Coco Chanel and the greatest French fashion designers of all times.
Drink in the atmosphere of this century-old tearoom at Galeries Lafayette, open from 9.30am until 6.30pm.
It is a unique place where you can savour its famous hot chocolate “l’Africain” and the impossibly scrumptious Mont-Blanc cake, whose century-old secret recipe remains under lock and key to this day.
You can also visit the Angelina boutique, with its array of gift ideas, take-away service and its speciality sweet treats!
