“Among all the colors, navy blue is the only one that can compete with black, it has all the same qualities,»
Christian Dior – The Little Dictionary of Fashion
In tribute to the exhibition Christian Dior, Designer of Dreams, presented at musée des Arts décoratifs, and in celebration of the House’s seventieth anniversary, La Galerie des Galeries is showing twelve blue looks designed by Christian Dior coming from the House’s archives.
Navy shines in all its facets, from the Doris wool coat, from the couturier’s first 1947 collection forever known as the New Look, to a blue damask silk afternoon dress, named Billet Doux, designed in 1957 and featuring rose motifs.
Blue also takes over the Galeries Lafayette windows and la Coupole to offer an immersion into the I feel Blue experience.
To be discovered from 20th September through 22th October.
