To celebrate the festive season, the Galleries Gallery is opening a cycle of exhibitions on the fairy tale. Artists, designers, architects, creators and storytellers will take turns to create new stories. In this first edition running from the 8th November 2018 until the 13th January 2019, designers Gaëlle Gabillet and Stéphane Villard, founders of the GGSV studio, present Tomorrow, the chimera ship: the story of a world transforming under the influence of weird entities…
The GGSV Studio was created in 2011 by Gaëlle Gabillet and Stéphane Villard, both design graduates from the ENSCI – Les Ateliers (French National School for Advanced Studies in Design). From curating exhibitions to designing research or objects, from scenography to interior design, their practice is multi-faceted and frequently uses space as a place for experimenting with design. In 2017, they presented the installation-cum-studio Galerie Party to celebrate 40 years of the Pompidou Centre. Since September 2018, they are residents at the Villa Medici: The French Academy in Rome, carrying out research work on illusion and ecology through the medium of painting.
Guided tours of the exhibition in French on Saturdays 10th November, 15th December and 12th January at 3pm.
