Children aged 5 to 12 can join the workshop session as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket, making it one of the best cooking classes in Paris for families.

What is included when I book a macaron class at Galeries Lafayette?

Your ticket includes guidance from a professional pastry chef, all ingredients, and the chance to leave with a box full of the macarons you made yourself.

Where exactly does the class take place?

The workshop is located in central Paris, at the Appartement Lafayette, 40 Boulevard Haussmann, on the 3rd floor of the main store “La Coupole” (right next to the Restore area) near the Opéra district, in Paris city center.

Can I cancel my reservation?

You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, Galeries Lafayette may cancel the class and reimburse you in full.

Is the macaron class taught in English?

Yes, every session of this macaron workshop is taught entirely in English, which is why many international families choose to book a macaron class here during their stay in Paris.

How much does it cost to go to culinary school in Paris?

Prices vary widely: a family-friendly macaron workshop at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann starts at €20 for children and €59 for adults, while specialized pastry schools and multi-day culinary courses in Paris can cost several hundred euros depending on duration and level.

What is the average price of a macaron in Paris?

A single artisan macaron in Paris typically costs between €2 and €3, depending on the bakery and flavor, while a gift box of six to twelve macarons can range from €15 to €40.

What is the most famous macaron place in Paris?

Ladurée and Pierre Hermé are widely considered the most famous macaron makers in Paris, though Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann has become a popular destination for visitors who want to bake their own macarons rather than simply buy them.

Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann also hosts a Ladurée tea salon, located on the 1st floor of the Coupole building.
