The Giant Christmas Tree
The giant Christmas tree stands tall beneath the famous dome at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann. Covered in winter flowers and adorned with huge sparkling Christmas baubles, its frosted and amber tones attract the foraging bees. The amber glow slowly warms up the frosty winter atmosphere. At the tip of the tree, the queen bee admires the illuminated Christmas beehive. Every 30 minutes, the lights in the Coupole store go dark to allow the beehive to come alive and the bees to fly away.
Christmas window displays
This year, visitors of Galeries Lafayette can marvel at the 11 scenes of the Christmas Beehive. From the festival of lights to the Queen’s banquet to the Winter Garden, the window displays along boulevard Haussmann are brimming with magic. In each window, the bees are preparing for Christmas Eve: the Queen is making herself look beautiful, the scout bees are taking care of the lights, and the worker bees are in the kitchen… Each bee is lending a helping wing to make sure that the Christmas Beehive is ready on time.
