12,000 m² OF SHOPPING FOR THE MODERN MAN
The modern man has taken control of his wardrobe and realised that shopping does now rhyme with pleasure! As such, Galeries Lafayette has now provided him with a playground worthy of his new appetite for fashion, with 12,000m² devoted to menswear across 4 floors, with a selection of clothing, accessories and exclusive products.
Each floor is its own department: essential accessories and beauty products are on the ground floor, urban and denim on the first floor, contemporary and casual on the second, and luxury and expertise on the third.
The perfect wardrobe for this new man is now easily composed on the whims of free navigation through this brand new space, arranged around wide alleyways and different areas. 126 new brands, 80 of which are exclusive, are on offer at Galeries Lafayette Homme to make up a new temple of chic, with a French touch.
GROUND FLOOR: ACCESSORIES
1000m² of ultra-contemporary ground floor space has been dedicated to the essential men’s accessories.
Gloves and bags, via stoles, sunglasses, fragrance and cosmetics: everything you need to finish off a look, the irresistable signature of a unique personality…it can all be found here. This department also has a range of technological toys on offer to set men’s hearts racing, such as Leica cameras.
1ST FLOOR: URBAN DENIM
Here the kingdom unfurls even wider…the playground of the young and urban man who knows the latest trends and wants them at the tip of his fingers. For the lover of fashion-forward Parisian labels and rare international brands, here he will find that one piece to shake-up his wardrobe, in the subtlest of ways. A detail on the collar of a jumper, the bias cut of a pair of trousers or a unique print on the back of a jacket…all of them the signs of an expert’s hanging rail.
French brands include: Ami, APC, Carven, Kenzo, Kitsuné, as well as insubordinate international labels such as McQ and Marcelo Burlon-County of Milan My, all of which gather here to offer a tailor-made selection dedicated to these “boys next door” who are just not quite the same as the rest.
Not to be missed on this level is the “lab”, offering a razor sharp line-up of the most exciting capsule collections and fashion lines of the minute: Gosha Rubchinskyiy, Marni and Off White, Adidas x Kolor, House of Holland, MSGM, Pigalle, Y3 and Yeezy.
On the same floor, there is a large area dedicated to denim. Even though their cupboards are brimming with them, jeans are still man’s best friend. The search for the perfect fade, the exact colour and the right fit begins again every season.
ALL ABOUT SHOES
Men’s shoes have their own dedicated area on the 1st floor, 750m² in fact where 88 brands showcase their objects of desire: fine leather mocassins, hand-stitched boots, derbies, brogues and customisable shoes (semi-bespoke…).
Definitely one to try are the coloured patinas by JM Legazel, that bring a unique touch to the shoe by adding a hint of your favourite colour to it. A wall dedicated to sneaker fans provides a continuous selection of the latest novelties: there are no less than 650 permanent models that are updated every week. Amongst the treasures nestling here, you will find famous models from Giuseppe Zanotti for example, must-have brand from the world of hip-hop.
It’s enough to have you climbing the walls!
2ND FLOOR: CASUAL CONTEMPORARY
The zen backdrop of the second floor welcomes contemporary ready-to-wear brands for our gentlemen such as Agnès B., Balibaris, Cos, Essentiel, Sandro, The Kooples, Zadig & Voltaire and Zapa, as well as timeless pieces, essential for creating that chic, laid-back look. Here, there’s no such thing as a fashion faux-pas!
In the middle of the floor, a multi-brand dispensary proposing must-have pieces for a meticulously drafted wardrobe composed of essentials by MelindaGloss, MHL by Margaret Howel, Paul & Joe, Saint Paul, Samsoe & Samsoe. For the winter season, the parka and technical clothing also have a dedicated space: Arc’Terix, Black Crows, Canada Goose, Patagonia and North Face…
Once again, there’s so much to choose from!
3RD FLOOR:
LUXURY AND EXPERTISE – Between legendary labels and new guard men’s luxury
On the 3rd floor, closest to the stars, you will find the big names on the international scene, those who set the rhythm for planet fashion.
Here 17 legendary fashion houses provide a panoramic of their best pieces from the season via their in-store screens. Alexander McQueen, Dior Homme, Dries Van Noten, Gucci, Givenchy, Lanvin, Prada, Rick Owens, Saint Laurent Paris…
And the new wave in luxury won’t be left behind either, with a new 100m² space dedicated to young talent: Craig Green, Juun.J, Lemaire, Junya, Watanabee… Just like Loewe: since taking up the role of artistic director in September 2013, designer Jonathan Anderson has carefully reinvented the Spanish label, making it one of the most avant-garde brands of the moment.
For those looking for timeless elegance, those who are chic to the very hem of their trouser legs, their choice of weapons awaits to help them create the perfect formal outfit. Brioni, Brunello Cucinelli, Kiton, Ermenegildo Zegna… : 11 Italian houses, whose connoisseurs whisper their names like a secret password, offer here a complete wardrobe, lilting between tradition and modernity reflected in the choice of fabrics as well as cuts.
These flawless products are the result of years and years of expertise. Most brands provide a garment customisation service, as well as semi-bespoke creations tailored to the client’s wishes and measurements.
