CELEBRATING FRANCE'S CREATIVE ENERGY

The French Touch is back this summer at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann! From July 5th to August 31st, the department store is inviting everyone to discover or (re)discover French creativity and innovation. Iconic movers and shakers from the fashion world join the celebrations will also include beauty, homeware and food.

À l’occasion de La Scène Festival French Touch, Yves saint Laurent Beauté électrise l’iconique Terrasse des Galeries Lafayette Haussmann.

Rendez-vous du 7 au 10 Juillet dès la nuit tombée pour quatre soirées uniques mêlant musique et beauté.

Sur le plus insolite des dancefloor parisiens, de talentueuses DJettes assureront chaque soir la programmation musicale en parallèle d’expériences beauté festives.

Gaumont

Au-delà de la musique, un cinéma éphémère en plein air s’installe sur la terrasse du magasin pour un été plus festif et culturel que jamais. Au cours des soirées du vendredi 8, samedi 9 et dimanche 10 juillet, une programmation de films iconiques sera diffusée sur un écran géant en partenariat avec Gaumont. Une occasion inédite de (re)découvrir des films incontournables français avec une vue imprenable sur Paris.

Fondée en France en 1895, Gaumont, riche d’un catalogue de plus de 1500 titres, est la première société cinématographique au monde, avec 126 ans d’histoire et d’innovation. Gaumont demeure un créateur d’histoires locales à visée internationale, portant haut son patrimoine, dans toute sa continuité et sa modernité.
Grâce à une approche diversifiée, Gaumont propose des titres emblématiques et originaux dans différentes langues pour le cinéma, les plateformes de streaming et les chaînes de télévision dans le monde entier.

Obvious

Obvious est un collectif français d’artistes et de chercheurs qui utilise des algorithmes d’intelligence artificielle pour créer des œuvres d’art. Leur travail est mis en lumière en 2018 avec la vente d’un de leur tableau, le premier du genre, chez Christie’s NY. Leurs œuvres, au croisement de l’art classique et des technologies les plus récentes, sont par la suite exposées dans les grands musées mondiaux. Pionniers de l’art digital, ils sont également les premiers artistes français à avoir créé des NFTs, et réalisent en 2021 une collaboration avec la galerie Kamel Mennour sur ce sujet.

Par son travail et ses collaborations, Obvious vise à amener les outils développés dans la recherche aux créatifs de toutes les industries, afin d’initier la prochaine révolution visuelle et artistique. Tout au long du festival, l’exposition de crypto art curatée par le collectif interroge les liens entre l’art et l’intelligence artificielle et rassemble plusieurs artistes français précurseurs dans le domaine des NFTs.

L’exposition aura lieu du 6 au 10 juillet sur la terrasse des Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann.

For this special event, high heel genius Christian Louboutin is stepping out in grand style – and adding more than a splash of
colour! Taking over Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, he’ll be displaying the brand’s iconic visual codes with installations of epic
proportions in all four corners of the department store. From the Mogador window display to the pop-ups on the ground floor and 4th
floors, culminating with an installation under the majestic Dome, Christian Louboutin embodies inimitable French design.

From 5 July to 31 August, you can attend a fashion show, make macarons like a real pastry chef or be guided by the expertise of the Ferrandi school to cook a real French gastronomic meal.

Get ready for the most popular event of the summer, hosted on the panoramic terrace of the Coupole store: an unprecedented, celebratory schedule of events where renowned artists and young labels on the French scene stand shoulder to shoulder.

From 5th – 10th July, a classic French film (La Boum, Le Sens de la Fête and Zazie Dans le Métro) will be screened in partnership with Gaumont, followed by a live concert come nightfall. And, to round things off, every evening the terrace turns into a dancefloor, with a DJ set in partnership with Yves Saint Laurent Beauty. The artists: L’Impératrice, Braxe + Falcon, Julien Granel, Kiddy Smile, Bon Entendeur, Etienne de Crécy, Sofiane Pamart, Dabeull

Throughout the festival, a crypto art exhibition curated by the OBVIOUS collective questions the links between art and artificial intelligence and brings together several French artists who are pioneers in the field of NFTs.

The iconic rooftop terrace of Galeries Lafayette’s Paris Haussmann store will be buzzing during the French Touch event thanks to Yves Saint Laurent Beauté.

Get ready for four very special nights of music and beauty, every evening at sundown from 7 to 10 July.

With a range of festive beauty experiences and some of France’s most talented female DJs, this panoramic outdoor dancefloor is set to be the hottest spot in Paris.

Gaumont

In addition to hosting live concerts and DJ sets, Galeries Lafayette’s rooftop terrace is also turning into a pop-up cinema, for an added touch of culture during the summer festivities.
In the evenings of Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July, a series of iconic films will be shown on a giant screen, in partnership with Gaumont. The terrace’s panoramic views of Paris provide the perfect setting to (re) discover some of the classics of French cinema. Founded in France in 1895, Gaumont is the oldest film company in the world. Through 126 years of history and innovation, it has built up a catalogue of more than 1,500 titles. Today, Gaumont continues to make local stories for a global audience, while also protecting and promoting France’s cinema heritage. Keenly committed to cultural diversity, Gaumont offers must-see classics and original titles in various languages for cinemas, streaming platforms and television channels worldwide.

Obvious

Obvious is a French collective of artists and researchers who use artificial intelligence algorithms to create works of art. They made headlines in 2018 when one of their artworks – the first of its kind – was sold at a Christie’s auction in New York. At the crossroads between classical art and cutting-edge technology, their creations are exhibited in some of the world’s leading art galleries. Pioneers in digital art and the first French artists to have created NFTs, they collaborated on an NFT project in 2021 with renowned Parisian art gallery Kamel Mennour. Through their work and their collaborative projects, Obvious aims to contribute to the next visual and artistic revolution by giving creatives in all industries access to the tools developed in research.

Throughout the festival, a cryptoart exhibition curated by the collective examines the relationship between art and artificial intelligence, bringing together several French artists who are blazing the trail in NFTs. The exhibition will take place from 6 to 10 July on the rooftop terrace of the Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann store.
