“Even today, I can still feel that same sense of childhood wonder”
The Giant Christmas Tree was inspired by childhood memories of a Christmas spent with Charles de Vilmorin’s grandparents.
On Christmas Eve, a power cut left his family in total darkness. But my uncle came to the rescue with a display so bright that it lit up the entire room, and not just the tree!
It was this play of light and transparency that Charles de Vilmorin chose recreate to reinvent the traditional Christmas tree. This sweet memory also provided the inspiration for the creatures twirling around the tree, with the grace of a concerto in motion beneath the iconic dome.

Window Display
The talented teams from Galeries Lafayette and Atelier Bournillat have created the window displays along Haussmann Boulevard, tell the tale of the little girl, her magic paintbrush and all the wonderful characters they meet in their adventures.
This collaboration aims to illustrate the beautiful coming-together of two worlds: contemporary fashion and the expert skills of legendary artisans.
The favourite character of Charles de Vilmorin has definitely to be the Star Lady, symbol of the night, for the tenderness she brings to the opening of this Christmas tale.
