― Christmas heritage guided tour ―
For the festive season, Galeries Lafayette has entrusted illustrator Jeanne Detallante with the task of enchanting the store with her colourful world and characters. She offers visitors a unique Christmas gift, inspired by historical references to the brand’s identity. To mark the occasion, the department store is offering exclusive Christmas-themed heritage tours, organised outside opening hours.

During this 90-minute tour, discover how Jeanne Detallante drew inspiration from Jacques Gruber’s stained-glass dome, Louis Majorelle’s balcony flowers, and the inventive textiles of La Maîtrise, the store’s applied arts workshops, created in 1921. Thanks to her, in this anniversary year of the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts, the store is decked out for the festive season with Art Deco references, revisited through the prism of the bold and vibrant British sixties.

Under the guidance of one of our ambassadors, explore the store, discover an exhibition dedicated to Jeanne Detallante’s creative process in the setting of a 1912 staircase, and step into the Archives room to admire historical pieces telling the story of Christmas at Galeries Lafayette, on display for a limited time only.
