This year, Galeries Lafayette’s Christmas celebrations will be themed around the story “1, 2, 3, CHRISTMAS!”, a joyful tale that recounts the madcap adventure of a group of toys in a cosmic Santa Claus village illuminated by the Northern lights.

The story “1, 2, 3, Christmas!”
One night, during a rough and tumble game, Galeries Lafayette’s most iconic toys stumble across a door that leads to the North Pole.
It takes them to a village that every child dreams of, where they are welcomed by Father Christmas and his elves who are busy making presents. All of a sudden, dolls, teddy bears, robots, superheros, recycled toys and crazy, futuristic inventions come to life and join the elves to play their favourite game: 1, 2, 3, Christmas!
Encircling the giant tree in the centre of the square, the toys start the music: 1, on goes the tinsel, 2, up go the decorations in all their pretty colours, 3, throw on the glitter, it’s CHRISTMAS!
The Giant Christmas Tree and the Christmas window displays
Every Christmas since 1976, a spectacular Giant Christmas Tree takes over the Dome in Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, filling visitors with awe and wonder.
This year, the Giant Christmas Tree will be decorated with iconic toys from 1, 2, 3, Christmas! and an astronaut Father Christmas who spins around under the Dome! Every half an hour, the lights go out, a sound and light show begins and the toys come to life, as if by magic!
The Christmas Window Displays are curated by the expert teams at Galeries Lafayette and Atelier Bournillat. They set the scene for the story of “1, 2, 3, CHRISTMAS!” in a surreal, vintage world. Each scene depicts a phase in the adventure: from the Toys’ Awakening to Santa’s Sleigh, via the Toys’ Banquet and the Christmas Choir. Every family is invited to this joyful celebration!
A united, responsible Christmas
Christmas is a time for doing good deeds! As part of its commitment to solidarity, Galeries Lafayette supports a number of associations working to improve others’ lives and invites you to do the same by helping those in need over the festive season.
The Cékedubonheur Association
For the second year running, Galeries Lafayette is supporting the Cékedubonheur Association, who work to help hospitalised children.
Throughout the Christmas period, Galeries Lafayette department stores will invite you to make a donation to Cékedubonheur when paying for your goods. All money collected will go towards funding help for hospitalised children.
Emmaüs Défi toy collection
In partnership with Emmaüs Défi, Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann will be collecting toys so that everyone can join in with Christmas celebrations.
Drop off your new or used toys and they will go into the charity toy sale organised every year by Emmaüs Défi. Your donations will help fund Christmas for the poorest families and will give your children’s toys a new lease of life, too.
Everyone on the dance floor with Disney+
This Christmas, Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann invites adults and children to take part in an unforgettable, immersive experience themed around the 6 worlds of Disney+.
From 1st to 23rd December, Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann and Disney+ have a surprise in store for you as they put on their first ever roller disco! Come and have fun on roller skates whilst listening to cult soundtracks from some of the biggest movies and series by Disney+.
