The “Africa Now” pop-up

Building on the success of the first edition in 2025, Galeries Lafayette has chosen to once again celebrate the vitality of African creation.
Faithful to their role as curators of both emerging and established talents, they are once again focusing on this buzzing scene by expanding the selection of designers to offer a range of ready-to-wear, bags, jewelry, and accessories that reflect the creativity and uniqueness of the African continent.
On this occasion, they are reuniting their key partners ADAMA PARIS, CANEX x TRANOÏ, and STUDIO KA x AFRICA FASHION UP around the “Africa Now” pop-up.
The partners and their designer selection
ADAMA
Founded by the Kinshasa-born designer and entrepreneur Adama Amanda Ndiaye, ADAMA PARIS has established itself as a key player on the African fashion scene. As the founder of Dakar Fashion Week, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, as well as the Black Fashion Xperience (Prague, Bahia, Paris, Montreal), she has worked for over two decades to structure and promote African fashion internationally. In 2014, she launched Fashion Africa Channel, the first television channel entirely dedicated to African fashion. Her commitment to female entrepreneurship and “Made in Africa” actively contributes to the transformation of the sector.
Through an exclusive capsule collection designed for “Africa Now”, the designer offers a contemporary and assertive vision of African femininity.

IBRAHIM FERNANDEZ
For his second participation, the Ivorian designer confirms the uniqueness of his high-end “Made in Abidjan” wardrobe. Since 2013, his brand has developed a subtle dialogue between African and international influences, establishing itself as a benchmark for contemporary ready-to-wear.

SISTERS OF AFRIKA
Founded by Jeanne and Hélène Diouf, the Senegalese brand continues its exploration of committed luxury, where local craftsmanship, noble materials, and traditional savoir-faire interact with a resolutely modern aesthetic. An assertive vision of “Made in Africa” that goes beyond mere inspiration.

CHRISTIE BROWN
Created in 2008 by Aisha Ayensu, the Ghanaian house draws on its heritage to better reinvent it. Between tradition and modernity, it offers a sophisticated wardrobe designed for a cosmopolitan woman.

An initiative of Afreximbank, Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) supports the development of African cultural and creative industries. For six seasons, CANEX has partnered with the TRANOÏ trade show, an essential event of Paris Fashion Week. This partnership offers designers strategic visibility on one of the most influential stages of international fashion, facilitating their access to global markets.

Vanhu Vamwe redefines luxury through ethical artisanal pieces that blend tradition and modernity. The brand tells the story of the dialogue between the cultures of Zimbabwe and Ecuador. It is also committed to the economic empowerment of women within the most fragile communities.

JUDY SANDERSON
Founded in 2020, the eponymous brand develops a contemporary language fueled by African, European, and Asian influences, translated into feminine and sensitive silhouettes.
AFRICA FASHION UP x STUDIO KA
Founded by Valérie Ka, AFRICA FASHION UP has become an unmissable event on the Parisian scene dedicated to contemporary African fashion. In 2024, STUDIO KA, the showcase brand of the program, took a decisive step by moving into the Coupole Store at Galeries Lafayette with an unprecedented sale, permanently placing these designers at the heart of the Parisian fashion scene.
